Here is some more useful information about spunbond

INFORMATION (characteristics when ordering)
Roll lengthUnit of measurement is meter. The length/width of the roll corresponds to the needs of the customer and is set when placing an order. When placing an order, it is necessary to pay attention to the weight of the final product in a roll and the recommended weight is no more than 50 kg, as it remains easily transportable. By means, length/width of the roll is directly proportional to the density of the spunbond. For instance, with a density of 60 gr./m² and a roll width of 1.6 meters, the most acceptable maximum roll length will be 520 meters, the roll weight in this case will be 49.92 kg
Roll widthmin – 0,2 meters, max- 1,60 meters
Unit of measurement is meter. The length/width of the roll corresponds to the needs of the customer and is set when placing an order. When placing an order, it is necessary to pay attention to the weight of the finished product in a roll and the recommended weight is no more than 50 kg, as it remains easily transportable. By means, length/width of the roll is directly proportional to the density of the spunbond. For instance, with a density of 150 gr./m² and a roll width of 1 meter, the most acceptable maximum roll length will be 325 meters, the roll weight in this case will be 50.25 kg
Densitymin – 20 гр./m², max- 150 гр./m²
Unit of measurement is grams per square meter. The density of the spunbond corresponds to the needs of the customer and is set when placing an order. When placing an order, it is necessary to pay attention to the weight of the finished product in a roll and the recommended weight is no more than 50 kg, as it remains easily transportable. By means spunbond density is directly proportional to the length/width of the roll. For example, with a density of 100 gr./m2 and a roll width of 0.5 meters, the most acceptable maximum roll length will be 1000 meters, the roll weight will be 50 kg in this case.
Roll weightUnit of measurement is kilogram. The production capacities of the factory allow to produce products of various weights. Anyhow, there is highly recommended weight is no more than 50 kg, as it is subject to easier and faster transportation (inside the production workshop, dimensions and capacity in a vehicle, load capacity at all stages of delivery).
Finished product unitSince the non-woven material is formed into a web during the production process, like any other material of the textile industry, the most convenient to use is the finished product in the form of a roll. But taking into account the possible range of spunbond (density, additives, roll length, roll width), the sale is carried out in the unit of measurement of the mass of the finished product (kg, tons).
Dye concentrates (masterbatches)
Color additives (spunbond color)
min – 0,5%, max- 4% (additional % to be discussed with the customer)
Unit of measure – % of the ratio of the main raw material. Color corresponds to the needs of the client and is set when placing an order according to the RAL color chart. The color code and % of the ratio of the total share of raw materials per 1 kg is fixed in the contract and is not subject to change during the production process. The cost of the finished product varies from the amount of % of the additive. On average, every one percent of a supplement has the same price.
Soft additives (softener concentrate)min – 0,5%, max- 2% (additional % to be discussed with the customer)
Soft additives are responsible for the softness of nonwovens. They improve the functional, aesthetic characteristics of products (softness, appearance, use of patterns, decors, bright colors, etc.).
Unit of measure – % of the ratio of the main raw material. The % of the additive corresponds to the needs of the client and is set when placing an order, the % of the ratio of the total share of raw materials per 1 kg is fixed in the contract and is not subject to change during the production process. The cost of the finished product varies from the amount of % of the additive. On average, each percent of a supplement has the same price.
Addition of concentrates of UV stabilizersmin – 1%, max- 4%
Unit of measure – % of the ratio of the main raw material. The % of the additive corresponds to the needs of the client and is set when placing an order, the % of the ratio of the total share of raw materials per 1 kg is fixed in the contract and is not subject to change during the production process. The cost of the finished product varies from the amount of % of the additive. On average, each percent of a supplement has the same price.
Additive “Antistatic”min – 0,5 %, max- 2%
Unit of measure – % of the ratio of the main raw material. The % of the additive corresponds to the needs of the client and is set when placing an order, the % of the ratio of the total share of raw materials per 1 kg is fixed in the contract and is not subject to change during the production process. The cost of the finished product varies from the amount of % of the additive. On average, each percent of a supplement has the same price.
Additional thermal bondingThe production line includes the following cycle:
Transporter delivers the sheet formed in the previous stages to the calender. In the calender, the non-woven material is subjected to thermal point bonding across the entire width by uniformly pressing the engraved and smooth rolls against each other and exposing the material to high temperature along the protrusions of the engraved roll. As a result, the point bonding leads to the melting of the fibers at the protrusions, the fibers between the point connections remain free, which allows the breathability and high vapor permeability of the nonwoven material to be maintained. The bonding area is 18-20% of the area of the engraved shaft.
Lamination is not provided by the production line, but by increasing the temperature of the engraved roll, the bonding of the nonwoven material becomes denser and more frequent, reducing the hydro and vapor permeability of the finished product. In this case, the canvas is more consistent with the material subjected to the lamination process, abyhow it is NOT, the advantage of additional thermal bonding in relation to lamination is the cost of production.
